Mr Dampier is a cell site analyst who joined Keith Borer Consultants in 2019, after thirty-five years’ service with Kent Police. This included nine years in the Serious and Organised Crime Unit and six years as a Digital Media Investigator specialising in cell site analysis. He is a trained Radio Frequency Propagation Survey (RFPS) Technician following a College of Policing Course and Refresher Courses that was instructed and assessed by Independent Cell Site Experts and is also trained in the extraction of data from mobile phones.
Since 2006 he has given evidence in respect of call data and cell site analysis in many court cases and received several judges’ commendations including those specifically for his presentation of cell site evidence.
Between 2004 and 2017 Mr Dampier was employed in the Serious Crime Directorate and was responsible for examining and analysing call data records on virtually a daily basis in all aspects of crime investigation and the tracing of missing, vulnerable or wanted persons.
Between 2013 and 2019 as a Digital Media Investigator/Supervisor, he regularly undertook RFPS work and advised Senior Investigating Officers on Digital Investigation Strategies including for the most serious of offences such as Homicide, Robbery and Drug Related Conspiracies.
He is currently employed by Keith Borer Consultants as a Forensic Scientist specialising in Cell Site Analysis. Keith Borer Consultants operates a Continuous Professional Development Scheme for all staff. Within this scheme Mr Dampier undertakes regular training and development, including attending conferences and relevant training courses.
