Alan Henderson has been a forensic scientist since 1990 and specialises in cases involving: footwear marks, glass, paint and other particulates, textile fibres, fires and accelerants, and some aspects of firearms work. Customers say he is "excellent in presenting matters to the jury".
Mr Henderson's experience in many disciplines was built up over 21 years at the Forensic Science Service (FSS) and he joined Keith Borer Consultants in 2011. Mr Henderson has experience in a very wide range of evidence types, having been part of various multi-disciplinary and Major Incident teams whilst at the FSS. This also provided him with experience of attending scenes, as an on-call rota scientist. He has given evidence in a range of courts in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, on many occasions.
Mr Henderson has the following qualifications: BSc(Hons), CChem, MRSC, MCSFS. He is also a Member of the United Kingdom Association of Fire Investigators and a member of the International Association of Fire Investigators.
