Our Hair Comparison experts can undertake hair analysis using low power microscopy. The level of discrimination may lead to a conclusive elimination or show that the hairs could have originated from a particular individual. Microscopic examination is also useful to distinguish between hair that is shed naturally and that which has been forcibly removed. If the hair root is present we may be able to undertake DNA profiling to determine its likely source. Hairs which are suspected to originate from animal sources can also be examined.
