Damaged Clothing

Damage

How damage to clothing has been caused can be important in assault cases. Under microscopic examination, it is often possible for our damaged clothing experts to distinguish between cutting and tearing, stabbing and slashing, and the use of single or double edged blades, for example. Fresh or recent damage may be differentiated from normal wear and tear. Suspected weapons can be tested to see if they produce damage similar to that seen on a garment. A damaged clothing report can help distinguish between disputed accounts of events.
